Welcome to a revolutionary web3 entertainment experience from the team at Dimension Studio. Metashima is a collection of high-quality 3D virtual robots, meticulously designed with all traits and attributes randomly generated in `The Factory`, our auto-generative 3D asset system, using 3ds Max, Maya, and Unreal Engine, released on the Ethereum blockchain.
The first 4,720 droids, Metashima Lightning, were released by Obsidian Robotics providing an entry point to an exciting roadmap that will unlock new utility and future value for your metaverse endeavours. Find out our entire mission in the Shimapaper.
Story
Story so far
Metashima is the first product from virtual corporation Obsidian Robotics (OR), headed up by ADA, the Chief Scientist. Three years ago, OR invented the Obsidian Cell (OC), a sustainable, super energy, and power source for Metashima and other OR products.
Production of the first Metashima - named Lightning, went smoothly but later an undetected failure caused a variant Metashima DNA type - codenamed Shadow.
Metashima were designed to be modular and customisable to collect, store, and swap with new equipment. So far, OR have released Accessory Pack 01 (AP1); fully-loaded accessories, each AP1 has a unique power. You can claim your AP1s below.
The MAG is the first virtual space for you to interact with and customise your Metashima, it will become your 3D workshop, training dojo, and be your base station and portal to other metaverse worlds. Phase One of the MAG is here.

Metashima is the launch of a hype new art and metaverse project, created by the team behind Dimension Studio in London. We've been pioneering virtual entertainment and the metaverse since 2011. We started as a small team of indies interested in AR and VR, today we have vast experience creating virtual worlds and bringing these to life. The public-facing team is below, however Metashima has a team of awesome artists and developers intensely building behind the scenes. We focus on quality, delivery, and creative collaborations that push the boundaries.

- Why did we create Metashima?
We believe that in the near future we will all have a presence in the metaverse. Through augmented reality the metaverse will co-exist and bleed into the world around us, while via virtual reality we'll step through the picture to explore vast new virtual worlds. We see Metashima being there right beside you for extraordinary new adventures.
- How was Metashima created?
We've started from the ground up - every aspect of Metashima has been carefully designed by our awesome art team. What we deliver is beautiful, functional, and scalable. Special features and future drops will be revealed as part of our roadmap and with creative community involvement in mind.

Overall, there are 14,159 Metashima. Our first drop of 4,720 unique Metashima Lightning, were released as high-quality 3D virtual robots on the Ethereum blockchain. There are rumours of future drops, one codenamed 'Shadow'.
- Who is the team behind Metashima?
Metashima was conceived, designed, and released by the team behind Dimension Studio. We've been creating virtual worlds, virtual humans, and contributing to the metaverse for over 10 years. Our credits range from providing our metaverse services for the likes of Balenciaga, Nike, Coldplay, Disney, Netflix, and Redbull, to name a few.
